ABOUT

Here is a deeper dive into one of our recent projects for the guys at Locaahands Dining Club Surabaya. A group of young hospitality professionals have come together to take Surabaya’s dining scene to the next level. A city with a vibrant culinary scene from traditional Warung and khaki lima delights, to an array of traditional Indochine seafood dinner halls, we feel Locaahands Dining Club is the first contender in the city, with a real contemporary culmination of the city’s heritage and flavours.

Working with ISSO Architects to perfect the projects architectural and interior design, we were briefed to design and develop a light and modern collection of restrauraunt furniture that compliments the spaces minimalist design. ISSO Architects brutalist inspired façade invokes ever changing shadow play during the day that illuminates the spaces earthy and textural interior finishes. The dark timber tones of our tables and chairs saturate the dining area, giving it a warm contrast look during the day, but seamlessly transition to creat a moodier night scape in the evening.

Since Locaahands doors have opened they have taken the local scene serving up a light and modern breakfast and lunch menu to a fan fed crowd of Surabaya’s bustling culinary enthusiasts. The evening is when you can really see what this group of young hospitality professionals can do, giving their guests a great lively ambience where love is shared, and bonds tightened over incredible foods. Culinary satisfaction at its best
