We’re currently working on a new project for the good guys from Monstore. The Monstore crew a great young and energetic collective taking initiative and approaching the market with a fresh perspective. Recently they approached us to work with them on the furniture for their maiden concept store “EMBRIO” in the Kemang, South Jakarta.
Recently we installed the first component of the project, a edgy fit-out for the fashion boutique showcasing Monstore’s entire collection. Using a old blackening technique for steelwork, that consists of a secret wax like ingredient and a blow torch, we heavily burnt all the metal surfaces, including a series of beautiful modern table sets. When Monstore came to us with a outline of what they needed, the team was looking for detail in the finishing touches, and use of materials to give their brand a truly unique look. Combining these contemporary frames with components of reclaimed and distressed woods has proved to be a winning result and we’re extremely happy with the look and feel of the finished product.
