Mr Shaun Freeman of Studio Subtropica (www.studiosubtropica.com) is a great guy, a amazing wave rider and has a beautifully creative mind. Tonight, Shaun will be celebrating his mind with his second solo show, ‘Paridisio’, exhibiting a collection of his most recent works. Extreamly talented behind the lens and with the tools, Shaun approaches his work (and all things in life) from a pleasant and alternative place. Drawing inspiration from the simplest scapes of life, be it on the land, from the sky or in the ocean where we know he prefers to be, Shauns works are a true reflection of his being, in the most modest and pleasant scenes.
Working entirely with his hands and taking a DIY approach, the works shown in ‘Paridisio’ are bound to please the eyes. Mixing mediums of paint’s, photographic prints, reclaimed wood and resin coatings, to create dreamlike scenes of waves, light and palms encapsulating the beauty of life, we’re excited to see what will be previewed on the opening night. For anyone lucky enough to be in the area tonight (Friday 1st of Feb), make sure you take the time to visit The Glass Onion Society for some positive vibes to view this man’s truly original and inspiring works.
