We are loving these shots by Emily Andrews of one of NYC’s newest dining hotspots, “The Musket Room”, featuring our lovely Han’s Chairs. We were lucky enough to have our good friends introduce our products to the London based creative team behind the decoration, Alexander Wentworth Interiors.
The Musket Room : NYC
The Musket Room has received raving reviews of late, after opening early this year, and is now being poised as ”possibly the prettiest (and leafiest) new restaurant in NYC” while climbing the charts to in Grub Streets online restaurant power rankings during the month of July.
And the man behind the project, New Zealand’s own Matt Lambert has also made quite a splash in the big city since arriving. Rising through the ranks at michelin-starred PUBLIC as well as the hits Saxon+Parole, Lambert’s newest venture, The Musket Room, has flown under the radar since opening and now the word is spreading that he may well have a hit on his hands.
Check out our Hans Chairs on our webpage here, and the picture below. Heavily inspired by Hans Wegners elbow chair, referencing the backrest, we re-sculptured the curve and shape by hand, while adding a lower set, and heavier structure to the base of the chair, similar to many other chairs of this mid century era. There is no way we are claiming total originality of the piece, but what we do feel, is that this is a nice reinterpretation of a classic chair recreated with it’s own differences, shapes, profiles and feel. New colour ways and cushion options coming soon.
